Group assignment (20%)
The group assignment is done by your team of 7 and is worth 20%. The full brief, data and instructions are on the BIDA Google Site.
Not the same as the final assessment
The same team also does the final assessment (40%), a separate, bigger project released in Week 10. See the comparison.
Your team
- Teams are mixed on purpose: gender, background, programme and AI-readiness are balanced as far as the class allows.
- Every team leader is a BBA-programme student, because the course sits under the BBA programme.
- Find your team and leader on the Group Teams page of the BIDA Google Site. It updates live when your lecturer makes a change.
How to work well as a team of 7
- Meet in week 1 of the task. Read the brief together and list every deliverable.
- Split the work into named parts (data, analysis, charts, writing, checking) and write who owns each.
- Set an internal deadline at least 3 days before the real one, for checking and putting it together.
- Keep a contribution log. Who did what, when. It protects everyone.
- One person submits (usually the leader) on UUM OL, and the team checks the status says Submitted for grading.
Team leader's role
- Organise meetings and split the work fairly.
- Keep the contribution log.
- Submit on behalf of the team, unless told otherwise.
- Tell the lecturer early if a member is not contributing.
Fair contribution
If someone does not contribute, the team leader should raise it early. Don't wait until the submission week.
