Final assessment (40%)
The final assessment replaces the final exam. It is the main BIDA project, done by your team of 7, plus a reflection written by each student on their own.
Part A: Group report (20%)
One report per team, answering the main project brief released in Week 10. Everyone in the team gets the same mark for this part.
- Read the brief as a team in the week it is released.
- Use the skills from the semester: Excel analysis, descriptive/predictive/prescriptive thinking, dashboards, and responsible use of AI.
- One person (usually the team leader) submits the report on UUM OL.
Part B: Individual reflection (20%)
Each student writes and submits their own reflection. This is your personal mark: it does not depend on your team's report.
A reflection is not a summary of the report. It explains what you did, what you learned, and what you would do differently. A simple way to structure it:
Strong reflections
- Use "I", not "we". This is about you.
- Give specific examples from the project ("When I built the pivot table for region sales, I foundβ¦").
- Be honest about difficulties and how you handled them, including teamwork.
- If you used AI, say how and what you checked.
Group assignment vs final assessment
Both are done by the same team, but they are two different pieces of work.
Before you submit
- The group report is uploaded once, by the agreed person, and shows Submitted for grading.
- I uploaded my own reflection and it shows Submitted for grading.
- Both are in before 31 December 2026. Don't wait for the last day.
More details in Week 10
The full brief, format, word limits and rubric come with the project in Week 10. This page will be updated then.
